1. Save the operator
Enter the scanner operator's name and mobile number. The app saves this on the device so scans can be traced back to the person and scanner session.
Warehouse
Overview
Stocktake is scanner-first. The screen always moves toward the next barcode the warehouse operator should scan: operator details, event, location, then item barcodes. It keeps a grouped working count for speed and a raw scan history for audit checks.
Enter the scanner operator's name and mobile number. The app saves this on the device so scans can be traced back to the person and scanner session.
Scan or type the stocktake event name. Existing open events appear in the recent events list, so an operator can resume the correct event quickly.
Scan the location barcode before scanning items. If the location already exists in the event, the app reloads its previous scans instead of starting an empty location.
Scan each item barcode. Repeated scans of the same barcode increase the visible quantity while the app still keeps every individual scan in the raw audit trail.
Tap Finish Location when the shelf, bin, pallet, or zone is complete. The app returns to the location screen so the next location can start cleanly.
Exit Event closes the current event session on the device. Use the event again later if more locations need to be counted.
Counting Rules
Grouped Items
The item list groups matching barcodes together and shows the quantity as a single row. This keeps the PDA screen readable while scanning quickly.
Raw Scans
Raw scans show every individual barcode scan, who scanned it, and when it happened. Deleted scans remain visible as deleted entries.
Exports
The Exports page lists events and downloads the selected event as CSV for checking, reporting, or loading into another system.
Resume
The device remembers the last operator and open event/location in the browser. If the page refreshes, the app tries to restore that working context.
Quick Fixes
Delete the mistaken item from the grouped list, or open Raw Scans to delete the exact scan.
Finish the location if needed, then scan the correct location barcode before continuing.
Use the event summary, location history, grouped item quantities, and CSV export.
